Barney Creek Livestock is based on the Jordan Ranch, which has been in the family since 1900. They raise 100% grass-fed beef in Paradise Valley, a major river valley of the Yellowstone River just north of Yellowstone National Park.

Three generations currently live on the ranch. Pete and Meagan Lannan, the fourth generation, operate the ranch as they raise their daughter Maloi and son Liam (the fifth generation) with a passion for regenerative practices. Twelve-year-old Maloi created a coloring book titled “Don’t Call it Dirt!” to teach kids about regenerative agriculture.

The Lannans practice Regenerative Agriculture by working with the whole system: Socially their practices are in alignment with their customers' value systems and benefit the Paradise Valley area; economically what they do is profitable and benefit the long-term stability of their customers and community; and environmentally they regenerate the soil and ecosystem.
